16/01/22 Day Walk: Meall Corranaich and Meall a Choire Leith, west of Ben Lawers range

The first Day Walk of 2022 took place on Sunday, January 16th, and featured the biggest turnout for a day walk for quite some time. A total of 11 members gathered at the north end of the Lochan na Lairige for the ascent of Meall Corranaich and Meall a Coire Leith. There was a distinctly chilly bite to the wind as we all booted up and set off at 9.30am. After five and a bit hours we returned to the cars well happy with a fine day out in good conditions, if a bit breezy on the tops. Ground was well frozen higher up and what little snow there was could be sidestepped easily. The flog across the bog for the last hour or so we could have done without though!
