Apart from our Weekend Meet in December the usual broad mix of stuff was packed in before the year end.

First up on 01/12, AS & GG took a wee trip to The Borders to tackle a modest route. From Broughton they walked part of the John Buchan Way before veering off to climb Hammer Head and on to Trahenna, the high point of the day. Down to Dreva Farm and a minor road back to the car.

Great all round visibility…can you name that hill?

Next, on 05/12, LM and friend Anne climbed Meall Chuaich, Drumochter, in fantastic weather. It was Anne’s 150th Munro & a repeat for LM.

LM on the rolling Drumochter hills.

Some more snow and the skis will be oot!

And on the final day of December 2021, AS & GG saw the year out with an ascent of Cairn Table near Muirkirk in Ayrshire. A good wee jaunt for them to top off a productive hill year with nearly 70 summits in the bag...however AS’s camera wasn’t working that day so here is one taken back in October – a rainbow over Capel Curig, Wales!
