Ten club members came on this meet. B and M travelled up on Thursday 5th and went for a ski around the forest tracks between Feshie Bridge and Loch an Eilein. Very enjoyable in the sunshine. Good snow on most of the tracks although a few detours had to be taken on some of the smaller paths that lacked snow in places. G joined B and M on Friday and they headed up the Glen Road from Newtonmore for some more skiing. This time up the Allt Fionndrigh snow covered path and on to Mealll a' Bhothain before skiing round to A Chailleach and back to the road via Allt a' Chaotainn. Perfect weather conditions and great snow cover. 22.4km and 875m of ascent according to B.

Saturday brought more sunshine and blue skies. B, M and G got the skis out again for a tour on Feshie hills of Sgoran Dubh Mor, Sgor Gaoith and Carn Ban Mor. A bit windy on top but still a great day. B measured it at 17.5 km and 1058m of ascent. J, A, and M walked up A' Chailleach and Carn Sgulain - walking from Newtonmore for a bit of extra excercise.

N skied on the ski trails near Loch Morlich. M and L walked to the bothy in Glen Feshie while D investigated Coire Garbhalach for some easy ice climbing.

Strengthening winds on Sunday but still dry and bright. J, M and A went to Meall Chuaich while M and B got on their skis again and went from the A9 west up to the head of Coire Dhomhain, south of Udlamain, then anticlockwise round Sgairneach Mhor.

To be continued?

A' Chailleach on the Saturday.
