Always a popular destination, the meet was fully subscribed and the weather was probably better than forecast but that did not stop some members getting a soaking on the Sunday.

Saturday dawned fair though and two members opted for the long drive round to Tongue and a traverse of the Ben Loyal tops.

Seven members opted for a leisurely ascent of Arkle. It was warm work in the autumn sunshine but there was a cool breeze higher up. The narrow ridge below the summit was an entertaining finale to the climb and there were excellent views although nearby Foinaven hid its summit in the cloud.

Glas Beinn above Inchnadamph proved a wet ascent on the Sunday but two members stayed below the cloud to climb the Graham Meall Doire Faid at Braemore.
