An adventurous meet based at JMCS Glasgow Section's Coruisk hut approached by boat from Elgol.

Arriving around tea time on the Friday gave us a chance to get our bearings and hatch plans for the Saturday.

Unfortunately the cloud was low and it was a dank and humid morning. Two members and one of our two guests went looking for an adventurous scramble on Sgurr a Choire Bhig (the north-east ridge). It gave them a long, tough day out with some serious route-finding challenges.

Four members settled for a trip up to Druim Hain and a descent by the Bloody Stone into Harta Coire. The return was by climbing onto Druim Ramh ridge and heading south back to Loch Coruisk.

Two others went via the Bad Step to visit the new bothy at Camasunary. They returned via Glen Sligachan and the Druim Hain including an ascent of Sgurr na Stri.

Sunday dawned bright and dry so seven of the nine attending set out for the ''ultimate thrill'', the longest climb in Scotland, the traverse of Sgurr Dubh Mor and Sgurr Dubh an Da Beinn by the slabs.

Sea level to 3000ft+ scrambling on the wonderful gabbro slabs.

The others took the option of a circuit of Loch Coruisk.

Monday was damp and dreich but with the boat picking us up at 10am we had to be up and packed. sharpish.

One more notable event was Robert's wild swim the length of Loch Coruisk (and back) on Saturday evening. The things folk do to escape the midges!
