On Saturday 09/07/22, CS, HP & Harry The Dog set off from Linlithgow and met up with EA at Lochearnhead. Their destination just west of Pubil at NN 45950 41948 via Bridge of Balgie, for to climb two Corbetts Meall Buidhe (NN 42718 44956) & Sron a Choire Chnapnaich (NN 45607 45283).

The start of out walk was a traverse along a track on the north shore of Loch Lyon, shortly leaving it to head north up steep, bracken covered ground. Above was taken on the route to Meall Buidhe looking SW down Loch Lyon.

They had fabulous views in every direction with a steady breeze that kept the midges away. There are three cairns on the Meall Buidhe summit with the southernmost one being the highest.

As the day gets warmer even the clouds adopt a relaxed southern style!

Taken from the NW shoulder of Sron a Choire Chnapnaich looking north to the Gleann Daimh floor just west of Loch an Daimh (out of sight on right).

Taken from Sron a Choire Chnapnaich, looking east along Loch an Daimh with Stuc an Lochain (NN 48327 44896) on the right.

The route back to their starting point took them in a southerly direction towards the head of the Allt Phubuill, the small settlement of Pubil coming into view along with beautiful Glen Lyon in the east.
