A magnificent day on the Tarmachan Ridge for four FVMC members. Wanting a change from the usual route, we went from the Ben Lawers car park, along the track up to the quarry and then north west up to the ridge. Excellent snow conditions, requiring spiky feet too, bathed in bright, cold weather from the start. There were many folk out walking the ridge but all seemed to be doing the traditionally anti-clockwise way. Also a couple of Telemark skiers could be seen, doing their thing. Multiple groups training in winter skills too.

Looking south west from the western side of Beinn nan Eachan.

A common feathered friend looking for food.

The last bit of Meall Garbh with Beinn nan Eachan in the background.

On the ridge up to Meall nan Tarmachan.

Looking back.
