Club camping meet to Lairg. Mixed weather but 2 great days of hills. Day 1 Corbett Meallan Liath Coire Mhic Dhughaill. Very windy with a smurr of rain. Stalkers path led up onto the ridge. A few ups and downs to the slightly inhospitable summit. Day 2 to avoid the mixed weather we headed for the east and the highest hill in Caithness, Morven. From the road end a 7km walk on a track led to the coll. Thereafter, a steep ascent brought us to the summit where we had great views of the Caithness landscape. A fabulous weekend.

Loch More with Ben Stack in distance.

Along the track past end of Loch More.

Top of the stalkers path. A calm spot out of the worst of the wind.

Lochan below Meallan Liath Beag.

The summit!

Day 2: Starting the track to Braeval.

Morven ahead.

Foreground Carn Mor and Smean, Maiden Pap on the left and Scaraben in the background.

A brief rest on the steep climb.
