The first official Day Walk (after our traditional New Year Walk on 02/01/25) was a short and cool affair on the Campsie Fells, north of Lennoxtown. Starting at the Campsie Glen waterfall car park and climbing the ridge to Lairs, then Cort-ma Law’s trig point, NS 65139 79959, then a snowy stomp north over to Lecket hill, NS 64460 81168, followed by a descent to the Crow Road, see; https://consumerplatform.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/24852859/250112--cort-ma-law-and-lecket-hill--lennoxtown?lat=56.004237&lon=-4.175182&zoom=14.8149&style=Leisure&type=2d&params=24852859&params=250112--cort-ma-law-and-lecket-hill--lennoxtown

At the walk start on the icy path.

View of Lennoxtown to the south.

Approaching the first cairn.

The trig point at the top of Cort ma Law is at 531m, lower than Lecket Hill, lying at 547m just over a km to the NNW.

A steady stomp in the mist.

Summit cairn on Lecket Hill. The same suspects in the line-up.

The dramatic frozen waterfall on the Crow Road was swiftly thawed out in the coming days. Overall a good short day’s outing in fine company, covering 9.1km and 388m of ascent.
