The last chance for a Weekend Meet before the end of the year saw us at our usual haunt at this time, the Ochils Mountaineering Club’s cottage, Inverardran, Crianlarich. The numbers were a bit reduced due to the increased threat of the Omicron variant but we had a few splendid walks in very fine weather.

On Friday 17/12 BR & IH made a quick ascent of the Graham, Meall Buidhe, from the high point in Glen Ogle. A view from it’s eastern slopes, Stob Binnein and Ben More on the left and then across the Loch of Cloud to Sgiath Chuil.

IH & BR at the top enjoying the cool air.

…and a fine view of the Tarmachan Ridge and Ben Lawers looking north across the Tay.

On Saturday MMcE, CS & Harry, walked a clockwise circular route round Graham Meall Odhar from Dalrigh and back along west highland way. This is the view across to Corbett Beinn Chuirn, with Ben Lui behind, taken from near the top of Meall Odhar.

Harry hears the sound of sandwiches!

The loch of the lost sword just off the West Highland Way. Perfect reflections.

On Saturday 18/12 MMcE & MM headed to Graham Fiarach. The views were so worth the climb. Summit view from Fiarach. MM at end of ridge. Ben more, Stob Binnien and Cruach Ardrain ahead.

Again on Saturday, but this time up towards Bridge of Orchy, BR, GG & AS started their approach to the Corbett Beinn a Chaisteil, seen here above the Loch of Cloud from the A82.

From near the top looking west.

Three happy fellows GG, AS & BR who is extra happy because he is about to pass under…

…the mighty West Highland Line viaduct over the Allt Kinglass at Auch – he likes railway bridges.

Also on Saturday GM & ARod ventured on Ben Challum. This shows a view of Ben Lui in the far distance left.

…and turning to the left we see Ben More Stob Binnein and Cruach Ardrain.
