The club made a welcome return to Inver Croft, a hut run by run by The Jacobites Mountaineering Cub Jacobites Mountaineering Club, Jacobites Mountaineering Club | Jacobites Mountaineering Club (jacobitesmc.co.uk)

On Friday 22/04/22, MMcE, on her journey to the hut, bags the Corbett Beinn a' Bhathaich Ard via Carn na Gabhalach, the latter of which is depicted above from Inchmore.

Later that day FVMC members start to arrive at Inver Croft. Here we see the access walkway over boggy river floodplain.

…first things first – get the fire on!

On Saturday 23/04/22, MMcE & GB cycle up Glen Elchaig to climb Corbett Faochaig in the company of some final Corbeteers.

Also on Saturday 23/04/22 BR & IH use bikes to get to Sgurr Coinnich and Sgurr a Chaorachain, cycling from Craig.

Having left the bikes at the northern end of one of the wire bridges spanning the Allt a Chonais they move south west up to Bealach Bhearnais from where they access the ridge connecting Sgurr Coinnich and Sgurr a Chaorachain . IH seen here negotiating the wire bridge.

On Sunday 24/04/22, BR & IH ascend the Corbettt Fhuar Tholl from Achnashellach Station, the day previously climbed by PB & MM. Here we see the darkened NE side of Meall nan Ceapairean, centre left and Maol Chean-dearg, centre right, taken from the W slope of Fuar Tholl.

…and the magnificent view from the top of Fuar Tholl – the peak of Sgorr Ruadh, centre and the grey ridge of Beinn Liath Mhor to the right.

Also on Sunday 24/04/22, having walked up Gleann Chorainn, AS Harry the dog, CS, PB & MMcE the photographer reach the top of Bac an Eich…AS’s phone confirms that the weather will be misty.
