17-19/11/17 Dinner Meet: Blackwater Hostel, Kinlochleven

This year saw the club return to Kinlochleven's Blackwater Hostel, with many members on the hill on both Saturday and Sunday helped along with a fine meal, drink and a cerebrally taxing quiz on the Saturday evening. That Saturday GD and I, along with IH & CM, did a clockwise ascent of Am Bodach starting from Kinlochleven, up north-west along the West Highland Way, then north into the coire and then Am Bodach itself. It was bitterly cold, forcing me to put on my blue over-mitts for the first time in a long time but the views were worth it. IH and CM returned the same way whilst GD and I had an interesting, snowy descent to the nort- eastern bealach and from there down the Allt Coire na Ba direction to Kinlochleven. A grand day oot.
