Nine members had a very enjoyable weekend based at the comfortable Raeburn Hut, a regular haunt of the club's over the years.
Being central it gives plenty of options to all points of the compass.
On the Friday, ascents were made of Sgurr an Utha (Glenfinnan) and Beinn a Chuallaich (Rannoch) and an isolated Graham overlooking the Moray Firth whose name escapes me for the moment!
On the Saturday ascents were made of Beinn Iaruinn and Carn Dearg in Glen Roy as well as the two Grahams which comprise the Cromdale Hills although the roaming reindeer came as a surprise! Also climbed were Carn Ballach and the three tops of Carn Dearg in the Monadhliath Hills plus Carn Macoul.
Sunday saw ascents of Leanna Mor in Glen Roy and Meall na Leitraich at Drumochter.
Ben Rinnnes in Aberdeenshire was also hinted at but an ascent has not been confirmed for Sunday.
General opinion was that it was a very successful meet given that it stayed largely dry with only a little hail to deal with although there was quite a strong, cold breeze all weekend.
