Weekend Meet, Morvich campsite in Kintail, May 22nd-24th, 2026

Two members (MMon & MMcE) attended the camping meet at Glen Shiel. Weather was mixed but overall a successful weekend with several hills being climbed. On Sunday the weather was too poor (see last photo) to venture out.  


Friday, May 22nd 

  1. MMon - Ciste Dhubbh and An Fhuarail from Clunie Inn 

Good visibility at the top of Aonoch Meadhoin. This is just after Sgurr an Fuarail, which is subsidiary top on this hill.

Saturday May 23rd

MMcE and MMon ascended Sgurr a Bhac a Chaolais and Buidhe Bheinn (Corbett) from Glen Shiel, going over the South Glen Shiel ridge to reach their target.


At the top of Sgurr a Bhac Chaolais; despite a forecast for less than 5% rain, it rained most of the day.

Sunday May 24th

The weather was non-compliant, signaling the end of the walking and starting the return home.
