Yesterday (21/9) I climbed Beinn á Bhuiridh from Stronmilchan. I unfortunately missed the weekend's great weather but, other than low cloud on the tops, it was warm and not too windy. I ascended through the Coire Ghlais and came back down the East Ridge including Monadh Driseig. The top of the Coire is very (scrambling) steep, and from the bealach there is a further steep scramble over boulder fields to get onto the main ridge. Not another soul there.
Interesting descent down the East ridge of Beinn á Bhuiridh, not least for the huge isolated rocks that seem almost to be lined up as route markers, as well as for the views, when you get below the cloud. The cloud had still not completely cleared mid afternoon. Stopped in at the Inverawe Smokery for some provisions.
