21-24/08/15 Weekend Meet: Naismith hut, Elphin

We were based at the excellent Naismith Hut (Scottish Mountaineering Club) at Elphin. Ten members attended making this one of the best-attended meets so far this year. The weather was the usual mix of sunshine and showers which has prevailed all summer. Unfortunately the midges were extremely irritating at times and the wind was ridiculous on Friday and Sunday.

However, undeterred, members ranged far and wide to make ascents of Cranstackie, Beinn Spionnaidh, Ben Hope, Ben Klibreck, Ben Wyvis, Quinag, Cul Mor and Stac Pollaidh as well as Ben Mor Assynt and Conival.

We'll be back up that way next summer I'd guess.
