August 2016 Weekend Meet: Station Lodge, Tulloch, Roybridge

Seven members attended this swiftly re-arranged meet to Tulloch when the original venue of the new Carn Dearg MC hut in Glen Clova was found to be unavailable with a work party in residence.

Some swift work by our meet secretary saw Alan and Belinda at Tulloch come to our rescue at the 11th hour.

Despite an unpromising weather forecast, both Saturday and Sunday turned out to be excellent with (after the cloud broke) warm sunshine and expanding views.

Highlight of the weekend, however, was being able to watch a golden eagle display as it rose on the warm air before tilting into a swooping dive (three times) before soaring westwards with barely a flick of its wings and disappearing behind the western slopes of Creag Megaidh.
