BR and MM had a braw week skiing in Val D'Isere, France, staying at the Chalet Tuteliere.

When booking the week of 05 - 12/04/15 we had a wee concern that it would be busy with other British folk enjoying their Easter Week too. However we went for this period as the following week was the French Spring Holiday. Turns out that our concerns were ill founded as there was plenty of skiing space, with no queues, despite the Easter Break. We later found out that for the following week, the French folk tend to take their Spring Holiday in warmer climes so that should have meant quiet slopes too.

A lucky choice of week indeed...the previous week had been very wintry with poor visibility - and we were now going to benefit from the snowfall and the stable, sunny weather. We skied all day from 09:00 – 16:00 with 45 mins break in the mountain cafes for lunch. We managed to ski the whole width of the ‘Full Area’ over the 6 x days. The best skiing was to be had at the sides of the pistes... where the terrain was bumpy and a lot more interesting - thankfully there was only one occasion where the choice of route became seriously more interesting than we had bargained for!

No injuries, apart from BR suffering a severely bruised inside leg ...ski edges can be awfy hard - and MM having a swollen ankle due to a tight boot.

...and I do believe they are still skiing at Glencoe!

There could be quiet times on the slopes.

MM enjoying the sun.

Now where should we turn?

The Needle's Eye!
