The circular walk began at NN 3192 1968 the map above shows the route taken. Approx 18 km with 1300 m of ascent, clockwise direction.

Starting around 9:15 am, IH, BR, SP, ArR, CS and HP took an access track through an old oak forest. This was followed until a fork where a right turn was made and the first climb of the day began, Troisgeach, on its east ridge. Fairly rough going but the sun was out and a light breeze made the climb easier.

The subsidiary summit of Troisgeach at 734 m yielded pleasant views all around. A broadly level traverse brought the group to Meall nan Caora where a light lunch was had.

The way back from Beinn Damhain was to head for the bridge over the Allt Arnan, on the access road, crossing some moor land and spotting a fox, which was too quick to photograph, the team reached the bridge. After exploiring some of the infrastructure around the bridge, the group followed the track back to the start.

Along the way, a stonechat was spotted, a few frogs and some interesting flowers (and lichen), pleasant company and pleasant weather made for an enjoyable day in the hills.
