The forecast for a Saturday Day Meet climb of Stob Dubh, NN 166 488, a Corbett, did not look good from the Wednesday...so it could only get better - and it did. A severe pull up its S.W ridge continuously rewarded the four veterans BR, IMcM, GG & JW with spectacular all around views. On coming down the party split with one going onto do the Beinn Ceitlein bumps, while the others retraced their ascent route. On descending from Beinn Ceitlein, SE from the 845 top to Coire Dubh-mor, there is no obvous path...very steep - the two walking poles extremely welcome items on the wet grass and boulders. Food back at the Real Food Cafe and home by 10pm.

The start of the climb with Stob Dubh in the background.

Not quite there yet, looking down to the head of Loch Etive
