A day walk to Sciehallion was organised for Sunday 19th July. 10 of us participated (JW, AS, BR, LM, IH, DF, LB, CE, IMcM and myself). It had been quite a few years since I was last there and a new path has been created making the going easy. We had a leisurely pace enjoying the dry weather and views. As we crested onto the ridge proper the elements closed in and waterproofs went on. However, this did not last and we arrived at the cloud free summit to enjoy more views and sandwiches. Just before we descended, a sub-group led by DF headed off on a geocaching exploit somewhere north east of the summit. Half way down at a small shelter, we stopped in the sun and took layers off. We had a good blether and enjoyed the sun while waiting on the geocachers. They had been successful in their search. No gold unfortunately. After regrouping in the car park, we headed off to The Watermill cafe in Aberfeldy for tea, coffee and cake! We just made it in before they closed. The cake was lovely. 😊
