The view looking SE to Beinn Narnain and The Cobbler from the bealach between Beinn Luibhean and Beinn Ime, before the party ascended Beinn Luibhean.

IH fiddles with the camera at the top of Beinn Luibhean.

…and the result A.Rob, IH, BR & A.Rod – all in happy mode.

The view from Beinn Luibhean looking south to The Brack just left of centre, Cnoc Coinnich background centre and Ben Donich on the right.

The view NE from Beinn Luibhean featuring Ben Ime on right and Beinn Chorranach behind left. The bealach between them would be part of their descent route.

ree

The view from Beinn Luibhean looking SE to Beinn Narnain and The Cobbler but this time catching the southern shoulder of Beinn Ime on the left. This shoulder would be their main ascent route avoiding the steeper SW face of Beinn Ime.

ree

ARob makes short work ascending onto Beinn Ime’s southern shoulder leaving Beinn Luibhean in the background.

ree

…meanwhile IH tests the propensity for the ground to slip – a well-known tendency in that neck of the woods.

ree

Very poor visibility at top of Beinn Ime precluded any pics but here’s a fine image of the NE face of Beinn an Lochain from their descent of Beinn Ime. A guid day oot!
