December 2017 Weekend Meet: Inverardran Cottage, Crianlarich

As has been the custom in recent years, the club found itself at Crianlarch for this meet staying at the excellent and spacious Ochil MC club cottage.

The weather was fine on the Friday and Saturday but appalling on the Sunday morning. It did clear up later but by that time everyone was halfway down the road home!

With plenty of Munros and Corbetts on the doorstep ascents were made of Beinn nan Imirean, Cruach Ardrain, An Casteal and Beinn a Chroin.

There was a decent amount of snow on the hills for the time of year and we helped cement French/Scottish relations by encouraging a French climber staying on her own in the cottage to join in our ''expeditions''.

Dinner on the Saturday evening was in the Ben More Lodge next door to the cottage and, once again, Jennie and her staff did an excellent job of feeding a dozen hungry (and thirsty) people.
