August 2019 Weekend Meet: Sleeper Car, Glenfinnan Station

Five members of FVMC PB ARob,MMcE, JI and GG stayed at the Sleeper Car at Glenfinnan Station. Just the correct number for such a small facility. On the Saturday we left Callop car park at 08.00 to follow footpath up Allt na Cruaiche to bealach and descended into Cona Glen. Waded river Cona and climbed to col between Meall Mor and Druim Tarsuin. Climbed to summit of Druim Tarsuinn Stob a’ Bhealach an Sgriodain (770m) Arrived at the summit at 13.00. Returned via Bhealach an Sgriodain and back by same route to car park by 17.20. A long 9 hour day but good company. Weather heavy rain showers at start and finish but surprisingly good visibility between showers. The weather on Sunday was poor so we all returned home!!
