This meet was added into the year's activities at short notice since we had been made aware that the memorial bench situated at the cottage was in need of some TLC.
The bench was co-funded by Braes of Fife MC and Forth Valley MC in memory of deceased club members.
The FVMC member was Tim Harper who died following an accident on Ben Nevis in 2001.
The appropriate materials were acquired and club chairman John Irving took on responsibility for the refurbishment. The bench although much ''weathered'' by exposure to the elements is now looking somewhat the better for the attention.
As regards hill activity over the weekend, members sought out two remote Corbetts on the Saturday.
They were Carn na Saobhaidhe in the northern reaches of the Monadhliath. Highlight of a lengthy walk for three members in remote territory were a single golden eagle early in the day and two golden eagles above the summit of the hill. Amazingly there were half a dozen other walkers sprawled about in the summer sun on this ''far flung'' summit.
Two others cycled up Glen Feshie and climbed Leathad an Taobhain.
Sunday was as ordained, ''a day of rest'' as a result with some light rambling and cycling the order of the day.
A fine impromptu meet and wee look forward to a return visit sometime soon.
