With winter snow disappearing fast the mix of outings changed. First up, DY and JG revisit An Caisteal on 04/03/21. Later some members get rock climbing done in the sun and then there’s our yearly photo competition.

DY and JG’s approach to An Caisteal

Having done An Caisteal they move on to ascend Beinn a Chroin. The path for some reason goes away round to the right and involves some scrambling on slippery schist.

On 20/03/21 DY and JG had their first rock climbing of the year at Ben A'an on a hot, sunny day. They did Ash Wall (severe), Rowan Rib (diff) with its aptly named "hidden jug" and two variations on Atom Slab. They will be back to do the routes on the top tier!

On 24/03/21 CP and climbing partner were to be found on Lilly Langtry climb at Dunkeld.

…this picture IS THE RIGHT WAY UP!
Finally the results of the FVMC photo competition:

AMc wins the human interest category with this shot.

…and BR wins the scenic category with a view looking east from just above Mam Uchd towards Sgurr na Ciche, Knoydart.
