General activity for FVMC members saw them in The Borders, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park & Argyll & Bute.

First up, on 01/03/22, AS & GG had a great day on the John Buchan Way. They drove to Broughton and took the bus to Peebles. Then 15 miles back by hill tracks, farm roads, etc., plus 2000ft of ascent in 6hrs 45 mins. Lovely weather, nae hats, gloves, waterproofs, etc. Sunny and windless.

…typical view on John Buchan Way.

After a dreich day on 03/03/22 on East and West Lomond As & GG returned to a favourite of theirs - the Luss hills on 07/03/22 covering Beinn Eich, Beinn Lochain, Doune Hill and Cruach na Sithean. They left car 9.30am back just before 5pm. Roughly 19km and about 900m of ascent.
A week later on 15/03/22 the two boys targeted the Graham, Meall Garbh, approached up Glen Strae, Dalmally. However the hard going and relatively late start saw them forced to bag Beinn Lurachan instead. A week after that on 23/03 they were on Black Hope Scar, The Pentlands and narrowly missed JW & JW on top!

Also on the same day of 23/03/22 LM & AD climbed Ben Challum in fabulous weather. Above looking south to Cruch Ardrain centre left.

Ben Dubhchraig, Ben Oss & Ben Lui.

Approaching Ben Challum summit.

AD & LM literally give the last push!

Finally for March 2022 on 29/03/22 AS & GG were on Beinn an Lochain, Arrochar, via the interesting north east ridge.
