Here is the record of our activity at the Muir of Inverey weekend. Others who were there may submit their own!

Carn Mor, from Lecht Mine.

Saturday saw BR, GG & AS embark on a wee walk in the hills directly north of the Lecht ski area, to a Corbett called Carn Mor. Starting from The Lecht Mine, a fascinating place with informative history boards too telling of iron and manganese ore. The going was good with terrain similar to the Ochils. Route via 792 and back via Carn Dulack.

GG & AS ejected BR from the car on route to the Lecht ski centre...sufficiently propelling him over 778 to Carn Ealasaid, then Loinherry & then to the hotel – where he landed, finding AS & GG bursting with coffee and pints o’ Autumn Nuts.

Carn na Drochaide

Sunday; BR & AS did a fine walk in haze and warmth to Carn na Drochaide, on a circuitous route from 737, whilst GG walked somewhere else (parallel universe?). The two universal walks had been delayed for at least half an hour on account of AS & GG hiding BR’s boots in the hut...such frolics necessitated a return to the hut – later that day AS misplaced his expensive sannies. BR despaired.

...guid stuff – and such a fine hut to stay in.
