Nine members and a guest turned up for the November day meet which was a great success

The only downside was the huge landslip above the Inversnaid Hotel which meant we had to start the walk from the top of the hill next to the bunkhouse adding about 40 minutes to the walk time.

In the end, though, we had a grand day out walking south along the West Highland Way to Cailness before peching up the steep track onto the moorland north of our objective, the lonely Cruinne na Beinne. It was a day among days with great visibility giving views to all points of the compass.

Round trip took approx six hours and most of us arrived back at the cars in the dark after seeing a great sunset over the Arrochar Alps.

If I don’t stand this way I will be blown over!
