Forecast was good for next few days so set off on Thursday 17/09/20 for Strontian in Ardgour. The plan was to camp at the campsite in Strontian but the place was fully booked!!! So Plan B was to walk into Sgurr Dhomhnuill the highest Corbett in Ardgour. I set off from the car park at Ariundle at 16.00 and cycled through the Oak woods. After leaving bike near forest edge I continued up the ridge eventually camping at about 600m. Fantastic sunset around 19.40. Next morning set off to complete climb to summit with superb if hazy views. Returned to tent and then back to car by 14.30 and drove home.

Sgurr Dhomhnuill on leaving Ariundle Oak woods Nature Reserve.

Tent pitched 19.00 Thursday.

Sunset almost down.

Looking towards Garbh Bheinn.

Messy campsite.

Sgurr Dhomhnuill from bealach.

Ben Nevis unusual angle.

Picking up the bike.

Corran Ferry on way home.
