This was Forth Valley MC's first trip to Ronnan Cottage which only recently was opened up by the Ladies' Scottish Climbing Club.

Seven megmbers attended the three-day meet at this comfortable base. It'sa traditional two up/two down type buildin with a kitchen and drying room extension and very unlike most climbing club huts but none the worse for that!

Unfortunately the weather was not great but that did not prevent folk getting out on the hills.

Saturday saw two members climbing Beinn Eighe's two Munros from Bridge of Grudie - not a recommended option - in 12 hours, finishing well after dark. Hm.

Other hills climbed on the Saturday were Beinn Gobhlach at Dundonnel and Beinn Airigh Charr (Fisherfield). On the Sunday three members for some unaccountable reason decided to travel up to Altnaharra and climb Ben Hope (three hour drive each way for less than four hours on the hill). Mm.

Also climbed on the Sunday were the Grahams Groban and Beinn Beag.

Two members climbed Ben Lair (Fisherfield) on the Monday.

Picture shows the walk in to Beinn Airigh Charr.
